White or Abnormal Discharge

White or Abnormal discharge refers to a fluid or thick and white-like cottage cheese substance or slightly milky fluid that comes out of the vagina. This white discharge may vary in consistency, color, or odor which indicates changes in vaginal health. Some discharges are normal due to hormonal fluctuations and abnormal discharge could indicate infections like yeast or bacterial vaginosis, sexually transmitted infections, or other gynecologist conditions. Every woman needs to pay serious attention to changes, seek medical advice if concerned, or do appropriate diagnostic tests to figure out accurate causes and treatment.
